THE REPAIR AND CONVERSION OF 2-4 MARKET PLACE, CAISTOR
Lincolnshire Cooperative and Caistor & District Community Trust have been awarded development phase funding by the National Lottery Heritage Fund to develop a project of regeneration and repair on 2-4 Market Place in the heart of Caistor. The Stage 2 submission is scheduled for March 2021, with works due to commence on site in late autumn 2021. The project will see the repair and conservation of a complex of buildings of historic buildings which make up a significant proportion of Caistor Market Place, and its economic regeneration as a mixed-use development of retail, office, and holiday let accommodation. There will also be a programme of community engagement and activities including work with schools and local young people, as well as interpretation and digital resources. The total project budget is currently forecast as being in the region of c£1.6million.
Lincolnshire Cooperative and Caistor & District Community Trust are now seeking creative people passionate about community engagement and heritage to deliver the following services:
- Evaluation Consultant; and
- Digital Consultant.
Both contracts will be awarded for the Development and Delivery Phases with a break clause after the Stage 2 application submission. After this the project will continue into the delivery stage should the Stage 2 bid to the National Lottery Heritage Fund be successful.
The deadline for submission of tenders is midday Monday 15th June 2020. Interviews will be held in late June (TBC), with the contract to commence in early July 2020 (subject to National Lottery Heritage Fund approval).
